The right time to get involved with a local church

This body lives no more. I will now die for the last time. Time will soon cease to be relevant.

Your local church is a time-bound blessing. Get involved!

This side of eternity, I will have missed God’s loving design in this one way: To be one with the local church, God’s family on earth.. day in, day out.

To understand , to have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge. (Eph 3:17-19)

Actually I almost got involved with God’s people.

I wanted to be involved with the local church when I turned 70,
but I was stuck to a new companion, my wheelchair, unable to travel freely. I was left craving to meet anyone, someone.

I wanted to be involved with the local church when I turned 60,

but there was weekly shopping to be done, what with my spouse gone and had grandchildren to spend time with.

I wanted to be involved with the local church when I turned 50,

but this too was a busy time. I had to ensure my retirement plans were in place and that my children received a good education and got married to the right people.

I wanted to be involved with the local church when I turned 40,

but I had to be busy with my work, being a good steward of the position God had placed me in. Besides I had to spend quality time with my spouse and children.

I wanted to be involved with the local church when I turned 30,

but I had to work extra hours to support marriage expenses which could happen whenever I found a potential spouse.

I wanted to be involved with the local church when I turned 20,

but my parents suggested I spend most of my time to study because God wanted me to excel in school and college. Besides, online sermons explained church so well, I saved time listening!

I wanted to be involved with the local church the moment I believed in my Saviour Jesus, who loved His church!

To ask when is the right time to be involved with the life of your local church is to ask when is the right time to be involved with God’s family.
